Midlands based contractor Thomas Vale Construction has celebrated the official project launch to mark the start of the extension at Nehemiah UCHA Housing Association's Charles Pearson Court, Smethwick.
It is supported living accommodation which is of particular interest to Afro-Caribbean elders who are will represented amongst the residents
Spectrum Development Partnership appointed the award winning contractor to deliver the £800,000 project to design and build a 2 storey accommodation block, comprising of 5, 2 and 1 bed units with a communal lounge, staff facilities and a new walkway.
The accommodation already consists of 40 1 and 2 bedroomed retirement flats and Nehemiah UCHA Chief Executive comments: "I am delighted to be here to celebrate the start of the extension to Charles Pearson Court, a development that will enable local older people to live in quality affordable homes."
