National contractor Shepherd Construction has won two Considerate Constructors awards for building sites in Liverpool.
The Considerate Constructors bronze, silver and gold awards are only rewarded to the top 7.5% of building sites nationally that are operating with high levels of consideration to their neighbours, workforce and the environment.
Shepherd Construction has been awarded a silver for the site that it operated at No 4 St Pauls Square in Liverpool which completed last year and a bronze award for its site at Central Library where a multi-million restoration project is currently underway as part of the Inspire Partnership on behalf of Liverpool City Council.
The Inspire Partnership is a joint venture between Amber Infrastructure and Shepherd Construction with architects Austin-Smith:Lord and Cofely as providers of facilities management services.
No 4 St Pauls Square is also in-line for 'Project Of The Year' having been shortlisted in one of the leading trade awards run by Construction News, for the technical, environmental and community achievements achieved by the Shepherd Construction team during construction.
Peter Millett, Shepherd Construction's managing director for the West Division commented: "This is a great achievement for our teams in Liverpool as there is stiff competition from the hundreds of other construction sites operating up and down the country.
"Consideration for the local community is a prime focus for us and we will continue to build on the good work we have already achieved."
