Consulting engineer Crofton, picked up the prize for Building Services Consultant of the Year at the Specialists Awards, held at the Hilton Hotel, London on Tuesday 20th March.
The Specialists Awards run by Construction News honour the finest specialist contractors and construction projects today. Nearly 600 of the country’s leading consultants and contractors gathered to celebrate the achievements of another tough year in construction.
With the quality of entries exceeding the judges’ expectations, competition was as fierce as ever, which is what always makes these the awards to win. Comedian Simon Evans warmed up the audience with a stand-up routine and hosted the awards ceremony with the sponsors and supporters.
Rebecca Evans, Editor of Construction News magazine commented: "We have 79 companies competing in 17 fantastically strong categories. Everybody who’s here in this room tonight has a tremendous amount to be proud of. Being one of the finalists at the Specialists Awards, from among the hundreds of entries we receive, is a huge achievement in itself."
Barry Henson, Building Services Director at Crofton commented: "I am delighted that the company has been recognised as a leader in our sector. It is a fantastic reflection on the hard work of our staff and demonstrates that Crofton is going from strength to strength."
Suzannah Nichol, Chief Executive of the NSCC told the audience: "Be proud of our industry, be proud to be a Specialist and be proud of yourselves."
