Suffolk Greenest County Awards 2012

Two representatives from Portal Power Ltd attended an awards evening at Wherstead Park in Suffolk. The Greenest County Awards are an annual event that highlight the excellent environmental achievements on going within the communities, businesses and schools across Suffolk. The fifth year opened up an opportunity for Portal Power to show its work on the big screen in front of members of the County Council, local dignitaries and many businessmen and women across Suffolk.

Portal Power Ltd Green Steel Building Products were shortlisted in February and were this year’s runner-up for Greenest Product recognising businesses that provide an environmentally beneficial service that contributes to the Low Carbon Economy.

The winner out of the two product shortlisting's was a company who produces biodegradable packaging and a sort after requirement for the future of supermarket packaging. Hundreds of entries were put forward for this year’s awards and it is a great achievement to be recognised across the county as a leading example in helping the environment.

We look forward to talking our success forward into 2012 and 2013 to develop a range of green complimentary products including cladding, doors and windows as options for our clients.
