May Gurney has announced the appointment of Mark Hazlewood as Group finance director with immediate effect.
Mark Hazlewood, aged 45 years, joined May Gurney in November 2010 as Group corporate development director and led the successful acquisition and integration of both Turriff and TransLinc. He has also held interim responsibility as finance director of May Gurney's Regulated Services division.
Having secured a BSc in human biology (Hons, 1st Class) and a PhD in immunology, Mark trained as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC).
He has extensive experience of the regulated and support services sectors having held senior positions at South Staffordshire Water (director of finance), Homeserve Emergency Services Ltd (commercial finance director) and Anglian Home Improvements Group (group commercial director).
