Mansell Partnership Housing has been chosen to build two housing contracts, worth £5.2 million in the South of England.
Five affordable houses and 17 affordable flats will be built at Manor Road, Swindon for Raglan Housing. This brownfield site was subject to archaeological surveys seeking a lost Saxon village but no evidence of this was found. Frogs were found though and these were relocated prior to the work commencing. The project, which will achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3, is valued at approximately £1.8 million and will complete in October 2012.
A £3.4 million project in Cheping Gardens, Eastleigh for First Wessex will see demolition and replacement of 31 existing bungalows. Residents will be decanted as new homes are completed. The project will achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3. The development is expected to be handed over in January 2014.
