Residents in Hasland and St.Leonards received the latest advice on saving energy and home security from partners of the Safer Neighbourhoods Team.
The Mobile Police Station was used to hand out advice on home energy saving, free power down plugs, energy saving light bulbs and was an opportunity to learn more about the Home Improvement Agency Handy Van service. The local PCSO Janet Austin was also on hand to discuss local issues and give advice on home and personal security.
Councillor Amanda Serjeant, Assistant Executive Member for Housing at Chesterfield Borough Council said: "I was pleased to be part of this joint working session where local residents were able to obtain advice on a number of issues and to publicise the Handy Van Scheme. This is exactly the kind of joined up working the Council would like to encourage more of in the future."
