Elliott Off-Site Building Solutions has been commissioned by a private GP practice to design and build the new three-storey Oakland Medical Centre in the London Borough of Hillingdon.
At 800m² the new medical centre will include a range of consulting rooms, treatment rooms, administration, waiting areas, staff offices, circulation and ancillary facilities.
The building will be constructed utilising the Elliott Off-Site hybrid steel and timber frame method of construction. The external finish will include red facing brickwork to the ground floor and Sto render to the remaining elevations.
The roof includes a second floor space for future expansion and has dormer windows as a feature within the tiled roof.
Entrance to the North West elevation includes a large glazed area leading into the reception area and access to all floors by stairs and a passenger lift.
Due to start on site in February 2012, the building will be occupied in Summer 2012, with a 30-week timescale for completion.
Elliott Off-Site Building Solutions is able to act as concept design and Principal Contractor to ensure full compliance with Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) and Health Building Notes (HBN) standards.
