Vinci Construction UK has achieved an impressive 'Very Good' score for its work at the Wade Deacon project in Widnes, Halton.
The contractor scored a total of 35.5 out of 40 from the Considerate Constructors Scheme report.
The report was the first of many to be conducted by the Considerate Constructors Scheme which monitored the site against eight categories. The categories included, being considerate, respectful, responsible, accountable, safety, environment, site appearance and being a good neighbour.
Vinci Construction UK is working in Joint Venture with Galliford Try under a BSF contract as part of the Halton Transformational Partnership consortium which is delivering the two Halton BSF Schools. The project involves partial demolition and refurbishment to the exiting 1930s school building and a new build facility which is adjacent behind the main school building. Once completed the construction of the school’s landscape and new sports pitches will commence.
Out of the five possible points you could receive per category, Vinci Construction UK scored an honourable four or above in all eight categories. In particular, the report highlighted the company's high compliance with the code and commitment to KPI's relating to community involvement.
The construction of the new building will be completed in April 2013, followed by the schools landscape and sports pitches, this will be completed in August, 2013.
