Cemplas Choose Ronacrete For Prestigious Project

Construction News Image
Under the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) Government scheme, Greenwich Council granted planning permission at Plumstead Manor School for two new buildings to include a Performing Arts and Sports Centre, together with a Sixth Form and Vocational block on the lower part of the school site.

The main contractor Balfour Beatty Construction who have a lasting relationship with Cemplas Waterproofing and Concrete Repairs Ltd appointed the specialist flooring division of Cemplas to undertake 3500m2of a quick drying screed.

Cemplas choose to use Ronacrete’s 8-Day overlay screed laid unbonded on to 1200 gauge polythene sheeting. Ronacrete’s 8-Day overlay was pumped with a Putzmeister Screed Pump allowing the operative to place spots of screed at strategic locations which would allow the screeder to set the correct height relative to the datum using laser levels.

Balfour Beatty Construction have subsequently awarded Cemplas further screeding works to Eltham Hill Tech College and Lonsdale School.
