Liverpool residents are being given the chance to get free insulation for their homes this winter.
The City Council has teamed up with the Energy Saving Trust on the offer for which all householders, regardless of income or age, can apply.
It means householders can get: Free cavity wall insulation; Free loft insulation and Top-up loft insulation from just £45.
It is estimated that potential savings of up to £310 a year- based on a gas-heated three bed roomed semi-detached house- can be made on energy bills through better insulation.
To receive a free, no obligation survey, call the Energy Saving Trust advice centre on 0800 512 012.
Councillor Ann O'Byrne, cabinet member for housing, said: "This is the first time this kind of offer has been made to include all types of households. It is important for environmental as well as economic reasons that houses are properly insulated and I would urge householders to consider taking up this offer."
