Leading housing and care provider Sanctuary Group has awarded Seddon Construction a £788,000 contract to carry out a programme of improvements to two developments of flats in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

The work to Colne House and Evenlode House involves the refurbishment of all homes, including the installation of new kitchens and bathrooms and central heating systems. In addition, Seddon will undertake major repairs to concrete walkways and balconies, replace fascias and soffits, remove chimneys and carry out some reroofing work. The improvements are set to be completed in May 2012.

"We're delighted to have secured this competitively tendered programme of work for Sanctuary," said Seddon Construction business unit manager Grant Millar. "The modernisation work will make a major difference for residents."

Seddon Construction is part of the national Seddon Group, a family-owned company specialising in construction, maintenance and housebuilding.
