Kidderminster based CHG Property Services (a member of The Community Housing Group) is celebrating their achievement of the quality standard ISO 9001.
The company, which incorporates Oakleaf Grounds Services and Bespoke Joinery Service, is delighted that their hard work has resulted in this success. Director of Asset Management, Ian Hancock said: "CHG Property Services has worked really hard and we are extremely pleased to have achieved compliance to this standard which demonstrates our commitment to delivering excellent, quality services."
ISO is the world's largest standards organisation, and enables businesses to develop and offer products and services that meet a required benchmark around the world. The standards provide a guarantee to customers that they will receive quality, safety and reliability. ISO 9001 ensures that an organisation's processes are in place to consistently produce a product or service that satisfies customers' expectations.
Keith Burgess, Head of Oakleaf and Support Services said: "Because we have established clear business plans, invested in training and development of our workforce and have adopted an attitude of continuous improvement, we were well prepared for the external assessment. ISO9001 compliance means that you have the right systems and processes in place but it is far from a paper gathering exercise. The assessor looks very deeply at how you manage internal and external communications, what you do with performance
data to improve your service and that business decisions are based on quality recorded data."
He added: "The accreditation will help us to be more competitive when applying for tenders and contracts in the future as many pre-qualification questionnaires require you to have the standards before you can even be considered."
CHG Property Services is now working towards the ISO 14001 Environmental Services standard and is assisting The Community Housing Group in their application for ISO9001 across all their subsidiaries.
