Household Automation was asked to fit automated lighting and blinds into a well furnished well finished high end flat in central London.
The property overlooks the Tate gallery and has stunning views along the Thames. The new owner had asked that the existing lighting be automated with the minimum of
re-wiring and at a cost effective price. After weighting up all the alternatives RAKO controls were chosen as the number one retro fit item. The system incorporates lighting scenes in all rooms along with a integrated stainless steel switch plates that operate the blinds in each room. The main lounge area also incorporates colour changing LED's.
The most impressive item is the iPad 2 wall dock that utilises the RAKO iPad app,!
The RAKO iPad app is very impressive, simple to set up and aesthetically, pleasing and well laid out. The single app (which is free issue from RAKO) controls all lighting, blinds and LED's in the property and is driven from, the RAKO bridge, a very cost effective app interface. All scenes including LED colour changes can be set from the app.
As an additional benefit the customer and his family can download the free app onto their iPhones and are able to carry out the set up themselves.
Household Automation currently has projects that utilise RAKO in a number of different applications. The RAKO range is famed for its wireless capabilities but it also includes a range of hard wired devices. The company has an impressive number of LED dimming solutions and its wireless blinds relays offer a neat way for installers to provide control to retrofit blinds and curtains.
