A €1.1m demolition contract for a project in Dublin has been awarded to a Birmingham-based contractor.
According to www.unearthore.com DSM Demolition has bagged the significant contract which will see them carry out various demolition work at a site in Ballynum, Dublin.
The works consist of the soft stripping, removal of hazardous materials, demolition and disposal of the concrete arisings from three flat blocks.
The Blocks consist of 9
nine storeys (eight occupied floor levels over basement level) and contain 96 individual flats in each block.
The blocks to be demolished are Balency type large panel system buildings consisting of precast concrete walls and insitu concrete floors. The external walls are double leaf sandwich panels and the internal walls consist of single leaf precast concrete panel walls.
