E H Hassells & Sons Ltd has recently received delivery of the latest 643R machine powered by a 6 cylinder Deutz TCD 2012 L06 Tier III engine, water cooled and holds 300 litres of fuel.
It is equipped with an increased counterweight with a 7t ballast and 2 x 2t carbody weights to provide its complete lifting duties. It has hydraulically extendable track sideframes to 4.5m width or fully retracted at a width of 3m, complete with triple bar grouser pads.
Over the years the 643 R telescopic crawler crane, manufacturer by Sennebogen, has proved a versatile and useful machine for many types of business. The original 643 classed as a 630 began in 1998 and reclassified as a 643 in 2006 - the latest version being the D Series. This machine has been a strong seller for companies requiring general hook work within construction but has also been sold for other types of applications and working environments
