The BBA has announced that it has signed an agreement with Hertfordshire Trading Standards to inspect their TrustMark approved building tradesmen.
The BBA has been involved with the government licensed TrustMark scheme since its inception and is a Scheme Operator. It also provides inspection services for a number of other Scheme Operators.
TrustMark registered firms are measured against a code of practise and set of standards relevant to their area of work. These government endorsed standards are written by a Trustmark registered Scheme Operator and BBA inspectors will audit firms to ensure they are performing to these agreed guidelines.
Guy Pratt, Assistant Director Community Protection commented: "The decision of Hertfordshire Trading Standards to work with the BBA was taken because their staff are impartial, accredited by UKAS to ISO17020 and have many years of inspection experience within the building trade. I would happily recommend the BBA's inspection service to other trading standard locations that participate in the TrustMark scheme."
