The popularity of fake, plastic, nylon, astrofurf - call it what you will - is increasing enormously according to turf industry blog Grass Clippings.
Grass Clippings says that B&Q will sell artificial grass at 120 branches and estimates on selling over 10,000 square metres this year.
Interestingly, the majority of those sales will be for indoor use.
Grass Clippings also warn that owning artificial grass doesn't mean it is maintenance free and 'correct construction' and underlay materials are so important.
