GLTA Welcomes New Members

The Glued Laminated Timber Association (GLTA) has recently welcomed three further Members - Core Structures Ltd. of Aberdeen, Rotafix Ltd. of South Wales, and Simpson Strong-Tie UK.

We are currently processing further membership enquiries to be registered for the next joining date on 1 November 2011. The membership drive supports our aim of offering a total service in prefabricated open framing construction. Combining excellent aesthetics with reliability, glulam provides a rapid offsite method.

The industry and timber engineering design expertise of GLTA Members extends to the installation phases of project management. Projects may include method statements covering programme and sequence. To ensure that each structure is installed to the agreed budget and time schedule, GLTA Members' installation teams include Accredited plant operators. Quality checks address on-site engineering aspects, especially stability and accuracy during erection, as well as the all-important Health and Safety features.
