Miller HPS has been selected by South Devon Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to deliver a £40m programme of works over the next 5 years.

The contract was secured through the Procure 21+ framework and is the first won by Miller HPS since securing its place on the framework last year.

Andrew Cartwright, Director, Miller HPS, said: "We are delighted to have been appointed by South Devon Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust for this five year programme of work. Chris Webster, Chief Executive, Miller Construction, said: "Following a review of our strategy, we are giving major consideration to the projects where we can best fulfil the needs of the client. Our process means that we can give the best of our attention at all times, and has reinforced our delivery model, to deliver service-led solutions as opposed to only construction led designs.

"We are looking forward to commencing works and to securing our next programme through the framework."

The works for South Devon Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are predominantly refurbishment and mechanical and electrical across the Trusts property estate. The first project at Torbay Hospital will see the provision of a new boiler house and services infrastructure.

The Procure 21+ framework enables the simplification of the procurement process for NHS Trusts for hospital refurbishments or new builds. Under the proposals, work on projects can commence within six weeks resulting in a saving of at least six months in the pre-construction.
