E.ON has welcomed DECC's acknowledgement that more UK homes could benefit from better insulation, and is urging more families to benefit from cheap insulation deals now to get 'energy fit' before the winter.
John Fawcitt, E.ON's Energy Efficiency Manager, said: "There are millions of poorly insulated homes in the UK which are wasting around £1 billion on their heating bills each year. Families could reduce their energy bills by around 20% just by making sure their lofts and walls are properly insulated.
"We want more families and homeowners to benefit from the energy and cash savings brought about by installing these measures so we’d urge anyone who is interested to get in touch and find out how they can get 'energy fit' and start saving ahead of the colder, winter months.
"We provide free insulation to vulnerable customers and those on qualifying benefits, and our new £99 deal means that those who aren't eligible for free insulation can benefit from cash savings, too."
