New Look Offices In Wimbledon By Fernhill Stone Get Nominated For Award

Family-owned contracting company Cappagh Construction, which has been serving the construction industry in the UK for over 40 years, has decided to give its head office in Wimbledon a facelift with stone cladding, provided by Fernhill Stone.

Requirements were to create a classy, individual look for Cappagh Constructions' reception area, reflecting the company's Irish heritage, yet maintaining a professional space that would be a naturally welcoming area for clients and staff.

Stone cladding was the product of choice and it was provided for Cappagh Constructions' reception desk, two walls in the reception area, right and left upon entrance and around the door.

The company had previously chosen a steel staircase for its reception leading to the first floor. However, a very 'on trend' blue glass was chosen for the steps of the staircase once the stone cladding product had been chosen and this was to subtly pick up on the blue tints within Fernhill Stones cladding product.

"Fernhill Stone was our number one choice for stone cladding and we are just thrilled with our 'new look' office," said Stella Ferncombe, Cappagh Construction. "Feedback from staff, visitors and clients has been extremely positive. Our office building now really reflects the success of our company whilst avoiding anything too ostentatious. We recommend Fernhill Stone for its quality of product, value and excellent before and after service."

"Stone cladding is becoming a popular choice to mix in with modern interiors," said Meredith Jackson, managing director, Fernhill Stone.

"A key reason why it was chosen by Cappagh Construction is because our stone cladding product creates that truly natural stone look and it really complemented the glass, stainless steel and oak furnishings that the company has in its reception area. We are very pleased to have been approached for this project and in particular, we are delighted that the project has been nominated for an award by the local county council."

Given the recession, Cappagh Construction has been facing challenges in the construction industry head-on and believes strongly in supporting the SME sector, hence working with Fernhill Stone.

"We have worked extremely hard in difficult circumstances to retain and in many cases enhance our client base," added Stella. "We try to work with local SME's for our everyday supplies and services and strongly believe that what goes around comes around. For specialist materials or services we do look further afield and this is only if we are unable to find what we require locally. Fernhill Stone is a perfect example of how we have shopped local and it also proves that the SME sector here in the UK has the quality and service to deliver for the larger companies as well."
