One of the UK's leading providers of equipment rental and support services, Speedy has today launched its sustainability strategy, One Plan, and urged suppliers to keep up or risk losing out.

One Plan is a sustainability action plan, which combines new services, supplier incentives and internal initiatives. It will enable contractors to reduce carbon emissions, improve health and safety and increase efficiency.

Specific services provided under One Plan include the Green Options product range, sustainability consultancy, fuel management, energy and carbon reduction and waste assurance services. Speedy will also be embedding its strategies internally.


0Speedy launched One Plan to 100 suppliers at its annual supplier conference last month. Suppliers were invited to join the Supplier Excellence Programme where they will be assisted in improving their own sustainability practices.

The programme is designed to help them implement change through a mixture of workshops and on-site reviews.

That’s why we’re not just going to help our customers improve their own sites; we’re also going to encourage our suppliers to do the same by providing them with the skills and knowledge they need to improve their own businesses and make best practice in these areas a condition of working with us.
