Mansell Scoops Education Contract In Oldham

Mansell has won a £2.9 million contract to construct a new block at Kingfisher Community Special School in Chadderton for Oldham Council.

The contract involves the construction of a new administrative and support block that will link the two existing parts of the school and forming a new main entrance. A number of minor extensions and refurbishments to existing parts of the school will also be completed.

The new build development will be carefully phased to ensure disruption to the school is minimised.

It is estimated that 75 per cent of the labour for the contract will be provided by local businesses.

The building will be handed over in August 2011.
