E.ON and Tesco are today launching a new initiative in an industry first that allows E.ON customers to use Tesco Clubcard vouchers to pay towards their energy bills.
50% will be added to the face value of any Tesco Clubcard vouchers used, so, for every £10 worth of Tesco Clubcard vouchers exchanged, £15 will be deducted from the customer's energy bill.
This additional 50% follows feedback from E.ON's YourSay Panel that customers wanted to be rewarded for being with E.ON.
This is the next step in a 13-year partnership between E.ON and Tesco Clubcard that already allows eligible E.ON customers to earn Tesco Clubcard points for money spent on energy.
Graham Bartlett, Managing Director of E.ON's Energy Solutions business, said: "We're keen to help our customers get their bills ‘energy fit' - and are extremely proud that we're the only energy supplier to allow customers to earn Tesco Clubcard points on their bills and also use Clubcard vouchers as a new way to pay.
"We value our customers' feedback, so when they told us they wanted to be rewarded, we listened.
"This new scheme we're piloting offers our customers a unique and convenient way to help offset some of their household energy costs."
