Henry Boot Construction (HBC) has announced the creation of a Renewable Division that will focus on new markets in the micro-generation renewable energy sector – initially working with ground and air source heat pumps, wind power and solar photovoltaic systems.
The division demonstrates HBC's commitment to carbon reduction and minimising the company's effect on climate change, and helps them to meet the current government mandate of a 34% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions nationally.
This commitment to sustainability and environmental impact reduction helps put the company at the forefront of the construction industry in its operational regions and will help make the most of emerging markets in the renewable energy field.
Gary Toomey has been appointed as the new Regional Manager and Nick Badcock joins the company as Technical Manager – both with a wealth of experience in the renewables sector but in the UK and abroad.
The Division will operate out of the company's Dronfield head office.
