A new Kier Western-built factory in Bristol has started production of the next generation of wings used on passenger planes.
The carbon fibre wings and the backbone of the wing, called the spar, are made at a new factory near Avonmouth by GKN. They enable the planes to use less fuel and feature on the Airbus A350.
The technology has secured 300 jobs at Avonmouth.
