Specialist contractor Mivan Limited has secured a number of packages at the new, luxury Prime Knightsbridge Hotel in London totalling over £8 million.

The Antrim based company's scope includes the fit-out of the hotel public areas including the restaurant, lobby and ballroom areas.

In addition, Mivan will also be delivering the interiors for the luxury Spa which includes the swimming pool, sauna, treatment rooms, spa reception, beauty salon and fitness suite. The project is underway and Mivan will complete its element of works by the autumn of 2011. The hotel will be open in time for the 2012 Olympic Games.

The project team includes construction managers Sir Robert McAlpine, architects Squire & Partners and quantity surveyors Gardiner & Theobald. Mivan will be working directly for client Prime Development.

Speaking about the contract award, Mivan's Chief Executive Ivan McCabrey commented: "Mivan is making great strides in the luxury hotel market. Mivan is currently working on a high-profile residential project in Knightsbridge and also at the Grosvenor House Apartments on Park Lane.
