Kier Eastern has started construction work on a new £2.8m Olympic gymnastics centre at the University of East Anglia's (UEA) Sportspark .
Due to be completed by August, the 648sq m facility is being built at the back of the existing Haydn Morris Hall.
Fully equipped to Olympic standard, the gymnastics centre, which will cater especially for those who wish to take up gymnastics at an introductory level, will feature pits for vaulting, a high bar, tumble track, floor area and floor-level trampoline.
Spectator areas at ground and first floor level are also proposed, along with the ability to add further seating for competitions.
