The beauty of Cembrit's Montleon natural slate shines through on a recently completed roofing project in the Rhonnda Valley, South Wales.
A Spanish natural slate, the textured surface of the slate provides the perfect complement to stone finished facades of a newly renovated farmhouse in the Welsh Valleys.
The characterful farmhouse has recently undergone a complete renovation and refurbishment. The owners have been careful to pick only the best natural materials for the project and Montleon fitted the bill for its ability to blend with the surroundings and complement the other building materials used on the project. Over 8000 slates were supplied by Cembrit’s South Wales Depot.
Rob Wallace, Depot Manager commented: "Montleon was the perfect slate for this project. The farmhouse is sited amongst some wonderfully rugged terrain so finding a slate that do the building and locale justice was a priority. We went for Montleon as its traditional appearance struck the right note from the start. Our ability to supply a large quantity of Montleon at short notice was also a key factor in this case. We’d welcome enquiries from anyone working on projects with similarly tight deadlines. Our supplies of top quality Spanish top quality slate are plentiful and can be dispatched at the double with some excellent back up advice if required."
