New facilities for staff and pupils at a Swadlincote school have been officially opened.
The £113,795 refurbishment work at Newhall Junior School was opened by Councillor Mike Longden, Derbyshire County Council Cabinet Member for Education.
The work has improved disabled access to the school, upgraded toilet and cloakroom areas, and improved the entrance area and office accommodation.
Councillor Longden said: "It was great to meet staff and pupils and to officially open the new facilities at Newhall Junior School.
"We're working hard to provide the best possible accommodation for every pupil in the county."
