A tower and platform arrangement that allows an installer to have a clear and uninterrupted walkway between two aluminium towers (see the attached photo), providing a safe working platform when fitting panels to a pitched roof. With this arrangement it is possible to span an area of up to 10 metres.

With a normal scaffolding arrangement, where the scaffolding will only be used for 1 or 2 days at most and costing around the £600 mark, this is a very cost effective option. To hire enough tower to span a 10 metre roof at a height of 4.7 metres, a typical two day hire rate from Jackson and Gocher Hire Centre would cost only £115 + VAT and delivery. You could also hire a material lift at £75 + VAT and safety harnesses with lanyards and scaffold hooks for £22.50 + VAT each.
