In 1884 the National Agricultural Company announced plans to build the country's largest indoor exhibition hall.
Henry Coe was the Architect and work began the following year with a budget of just over £100,000 and construction took 2.5 years to complete.
Since then the venue has been expanded by the various owners, and in 1929 saw the opening of Olympia two previously known as the Empire Hall.
The Conference Centre was built in 1987 and Olympia remains one of the largest venues in the UK being used regularly for shows and exhibitions and has millions of visitors every year.
Working closely with the Olympia Exibition Ltd own in house Structural Engineer's and Surveyors, agreeing the specifications and methods to undertake the varied multi disciplined work, Cemplas Waterproofing and Concrete Repairs Limited has worked on and off for many years at this landmark building providing cost effective solutions, together with the necessary expertise and quality of service.
Several of the projects undertaken has involved Cemplas carrying out a variety of serious structural replacements of concrete and brickwork repairs.
Access to some building elements has been demanding, and Cemplas have supplied cradles and hanging scaffolds to undertake the work, as careful consideration has had to be adopted for working amongst members of public and staff.
