Family-owned construction, civil engineering and property services business Osborne has appointed Dave Hooper as Managing Director of its Rail Sector.
Dave will lead the company's 253 strong rail team. He replaces Mike Cocks who is retiring after 23 years with the firm.
Dave joins Osborne from London Underground Ltd where he was a Programme Delivery Manager for the Metropolitan Line upgrade, a £1billion sub programme of the Sub Service Routes Upgrade Programme and introduced the first air conditioned passenger train on London Underground in August. Prior to that he was MD with Serco and led the UK non-passenger rail business and he has also worked for First Group, Network Rail, Railtrack and British Rail during his 20 years in the rail industry.
David Fison, Chief Executive of Osborne said: "Dave's background with both Network Rail and London Underground, as well as his client side experience, will be invaluable as our business grows and evolves in response to anticipated funding changes and the new opportunities they will present."
