Kingston Maurward Principal Clare Davison has been handed the keys to the brand new teaching block – the Sticklefords Building.

The new facility will be home to the Diploma in Environmental and Land-based Studies which is aimed at young people aged between 14 and 19.

It is one of a series of projects Morgan Sindall has completed at the college, including the re-vamped Learning and Resources Centre in 2007 which features an environmentally-friendly sedum roof.

Paul Gale, Morgan Sindall Area Director said: "We're thrilled to have handed over the building to the college and are pleased to have seen such a positive reaction from staff and students. The college provides a fantastic learning environment for local students and we’re pleased to have helped shape its development over the last few years."

The Diploma in Environmental and Land-based Studies provides young people with practical skills, as well as more academic skills in English, maths and ICT.
