Galliford Try Secures Place On £330m Yorkshire Water Framework

Galliford Try, the housebuilding and construction Group, has announced that it has, in joint venture with AECOM, been appointed as one of four partners on Yorkshire Water's Large Schemes framework with a total value of £330 million.

Work will include major upgrades to water and waste water treatment works as well as schemes to improve the quality of bathing water on the east coast of Yorkshire to meet the revised Bathing Water Directive.

The first two schemes to be undertaken on the framework have been secured by Galliford Try and AECOM to upgrade the Acomb Landing water treatment works in York and Caldervale waste water treatment works in Wakefield at a combined value of £25m.

Greg Fitzgerald, Chief Executive of Galliford Try, commented: "We are delighted to be able to continue our longstanding relationship with Yorkshire Water with a service for their Large Schemes framework."
