Balfour Beatty, the international infrastructure Group, has announced today that Balfour Beatty WorkPlace has signed the Southampton Highways Service Partnership contract with Southampton City Council.
The £100 million partnership, which is scheduled to commence on 1 October 2010, is initially for 10 years with the option of a five-year extension.
The Highways Service Partnership will provide highways transportation planning and asset management services.
Balfour Beatty Chief Executive, Ian Tyler, said: "We are delighted to have signed this important strategic partnership contract with Southampton City Council. We look forward to delivering an effective, efficient, sustainable and customer-focused highways service for the City."
