Education Secretary Michael Gove has apologised for errors in information released in a list of school building projects.
The list contained at least 25 mistakes, and schools who believed they would get new buildings have been cancelled.
The error has affected schools in Derby, Sandwell, Northamptonshire, Peterborough, Greenwich, Doncaster, Staffordshire, Wiltshire, Lancashire and Bexley.
On Wednesday night, Mr Gove told the speaker: "I'm grateful to you and to the whole House for granting me the opportunity to make this statement, and once again unreservedly apologise."
Shadow Education Secretary Vernon Coaker thanked Mr Gove for apologising for the "serious errors" he had made.
715 schools were told their rebuilding projects had been axed.
The Department of Education has published an amended list on its website.
