Housing association Saxon Weald, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, is set to build a development in its home town of Horsham with some of the £20 million-worth of new grants it recently won from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).

The site, on New Street, near to the town's railway station, will be a development of 38 new homes for families and younger adults. All of the homes will be available to rent.

The properties will be built to extremely high environmental standards using sustainable materials and building methods. Low energy bills and water-saving devices will benefit residents’ pockets as well as the planet.

Saxon Weald's Chief Executive, David Standfast, said: "We're delighted to be building such a high profile development in Saxon Weald’s home town. These much needed new homes can be built because we won 100% of our recent bids for grants from the HCA. That success in itself is a tribute to the hard work and professionalism of Saxon Weald’s excellent development team."
