Lovell Expands Into North Wales

Lovell has expanded its operations with the opening of a new North Wales office in Mold, Flintshire.

Lovell Managing Director Stewart Davenport said: "We are delighted to be bringing our expertise in housing regeneration and the creation of energy-efficient new homes in partnership with housing associations and local authorities to North Wales through this significant expansion of our network of UK offices."

Lovell, which has a strong track record in delivering new-build, regeneration and housing refurbishment schemes and housing maintenance services, as well as building homes for open market sale, has moved into premises at the Bromfield Industrial Park in Queen’s Lane, Mold.

Leading the company's business activities in North Wales will be regional director Nigel Yates, who will be supported by area manager Mike Turner.

The move comes as Lovell begins work on its first contract in the region. The company was recently selected by Pennaf Housing Group for a £1.68 million scheme to build 14 new affordable homes in Wrexham. Lovell will build seven new homes at Hampden Way, Plas Madoc, along with three homes in Coed Aben and four homes in Glan Gors. Work on the new homes is set to be completed later this year.

The scheme is one of the first to be awarded to Lovell by the Syniad Consortium – which comprises Pennaf Housing Group, Wales & West Housing Association and Linc-Cymru Group – under its £150 million development framework, which covers 16 local authority areas.
