Three award-winning buildings in Cheshire East have been nominated in this year's North West Regional Building Excellence Awards.
The awards are handed out to those who have constructed new buildings that are regarded to be of a particularly high standard.
The nominees from the Cheshire East area are as follows:
- Willmott Dixon for Sir Willam Stanier High School in Crewe in the Best Education Development Category
- G B Building Solutions Ltd for ‘The Leighton’ Extra Care Village Development in the Best Social Housing Category
- M H Stainton for East Court, Beechfield Road, Alderley Edge for Best Domestic Extension
The ceremony will be held on Friday, 14th May at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton, Lancashire.
Cheshire East Councillor, Diana Thompson, Cabinet Support Member with responsibility for Prosperity said: "I am proud to hear these projects have been nominated for a regional award. This is excellent news for the Cheshire East area and is proof that local constructors are leading the way in terms of creating modern, practical and sympathetic buildings which reflect the local environment.
"I have every hope that these constructions will have a big impact at the regional awards in May. Bringing home a prestigious Building Excellence Award to Cheshire East is what these projects deserve."
