A young construction management trainee from Liverpool is being earmarked by Lovell as one of its stars of the future.
John Roach has joined the company's national Lovell Management Development Academy training programme and is being prepared for a senior role.
During his two-year traineeship, 25-year-old John will gain practical managerial experience with Lovell, working in different departments including surveying, estimating, technical and development.
In addition, he will attend St Helens College on a day release basis where he will study for a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Construction.
"Before joining Lovell, I’d already worked in the housebuilding industry, but I wanted to get a professional qualification so that I could advance my career further," explained John.
"I'd researched lots of different companies but the Lovell management training programme really stood out and I knew that I’d get the chance to work on a lot of interesting projects."
The Lovell Management Development Academy helps management trainees identify where their strengths lie and choose the areas they want to specialise in.
"Everyone at Lovell has been really helpful and supportive," said John. "When I've completed my HNC studies, I'm planning to work towards further professional qualifications which will help me to become a site manager in the future."
