Interserve has been selected for the YORbuild Framework, open for the use of local authorities and public service bodies throughout Yorkshire and the Humber region.
The framework will have an initial life of four years with the option to extend for a further two.
The total value over the six years is anticipated to be approximately £2.6 billion.
The framework is divided into four sub-regions with six work categories in each. The anticipated balance of Interserve's activity across this portfolio is expected to generate an estimated £240 million of work over the full life of the framework.
The projects, which may include schools and other educational facilities, civic buildings, leisure facilities, emergency services premises and health service buildings, can be new build, refurbishment or design and build. Some civil engineering construction works are also covered.
The Yorkshire and Humber region covers 15,500 square miles, with a population of approximately five million spread over large urban areas and remote rural communities. Interserve is ideally situated to deliver the necessary construction services from its two regional offices at Castleford in West Yorkshire and Stockton-on-Tees.
