Wirral Media Suite Opened

Lovell has joined forces with Wirral Partnership Homes to give a community space used by a local youth project a new lease of life.

The two companies teamed up to refurbish a room at Bromborough Community Fire Station in Bebington which is used by the Dig It Project – a community-based partnership set up by South Wirral Young People's Project to give local young people the chance to learn new skills and make a positive contribution to the area they live in.

The newly-revamped room will be used as an IT and media suite where group members will have the chance to learn how to use equipment such as computers and digital cameras.

As part of the refurbishment, Lovell and Wirral Partnership Homes have carried out a number of major improvements including the removal and replacement of existing ceilings and electrical systems, the installation of new workbenches, and a complete redecoration. In addition, the two companies have also donated furniture to be used in the room.

"We were really impressed with the Dig It Project and wanted to help when we discovered that the space they had been using at Bromborough Community Fire Station was in need of a facelift," explained Mike Turner, Area Manager for Lovell. "The newly-refurbished facilities will help the group members learn a variety of new skills and we hope that they enjoy using them."
