Mee's Group Makes It A KIND Christmas For Disadvantaged Children

Liverpool demolition specialists, the Mee's Group have teamed up with local children's charity KIND to help support their Christmas Appeal and to celebrate the charity's 35th birthday next year.

To get the partnership underway Mee's Business Development Manager Damien Golden and Liverpool FC Assistant Manager, Sammy Lee launched the 2009 KIND Christmas Appeal at the charity's award winning SEED Centre on Thursday 12 November.

Mee's, who over 3 decades have grown from a small local firm into a major UK company, have sponsored the 2010 KIND Calendar and made them their 2010 charity of the year. Featuring some of the UK's best loved children’s cartoon characters, the calendar will appear on the walls of 5000 local homes and businesses across Merseyside in 2010. All money raised from the sale of the calendar will go directly towards the 2010 KIND Christmas Appeal.

Thomas Mee, Chief Executive of the Mee's Group, said: "We are proud and happy to support such a great local charity this Christmas and during their 35th birthday year. The calendar is fantastic and some of the characters take me back to my childhood! Like KIND we've worked in Liverpool for over three decades and this is a chance to make a difference to the lives of some of our cities most disadvantaged kids."

Liverpool Assistant Manager, Sammy Lee said: "We all have a responsibility to help disadvantaged kids make the most of their lives, which is why charities such as KIND are so important. I would just like to wish them every success with this years appeal."

KIND Chief Executive and Founder Stephen Yip said: "This is a fantastic gesture from the Mee's Group and on behalf of all the children we work with, we thank them for their generous support."
