Ian Gracie Specialist Contractors from Dumfries have finished a special renovation project of 8 arches along Victoria Street in Edinburgh.
As part of the new Missoni Hotel on the famous Royal Mile the renovation and recreation of the 18th Century arches was carried out using Marmorit SM700. Marmorit SM700 is a multi - purpose fibrous render of outstanding quality which has been proven for over 20 years. The old arches had deteriorated and needed re-establishing as part of the new Hotel which opened in June 2009.
Victoria Street in Edinburgh was built in the 18th century as an access route to the Royal Mile and the Old Town from the west of Edinburgh. The colourful shops on Victoria Street form one of the most distinguishable facades in Edinburgh and is one of the major focal points of The Old Town.
Recently, Marmorit have just launched their third website tool, the Colour Visualiser. This sits alongside the already widely used on-line Specification Writer and U Value Calculator.
The easy to use Visualiser will give the user a better idea of how the building will look when it is finished and also help with the colour design of other elements that are not render. The Colour Visualiser gives you a choice of 4 different buildings / facade designs and allows the user to colour these up with any of the standard 800 Marmorit render colours.
