Builder, Rok is part of a consortium chosen as 'preferred bidder' by Oldham Council.
Known as Inspiral and comprising Regenter, Great Places Housing Group and Rok, the consortium has been selected for a £130 million Gateways to Oldham housing and regeneration project.
The initial phase of the project will involve building 430 new social and private homes, modernising and improving 324 council homes and domolishing 332 existing properties.
High-quality public open spaces, improved car parking and new community facilities form an integral part of the plan and will create modern and sustainable communities where people will choose to live and work.
Regenter is the lead investor, developer and manager for the project. Great Places Housing Group is co-investor and developer and will provide neighbourhood and estates management services and Rok will construct all new homes, modernise the existing council properties and provide the long term maintenance for all social housing.
