Support services and construction company Carillion has secured a £25 million gas connections contract for clients United Utilities Networks on behalf of asset owners Northern Gas Networks.

The work involves the installation of new services and mains.

Carillion Utility Services who will carry out the work has been awarded the contract to cover the Northern Gas Networks area of northern Cumbria, the North East and most of Yorkshire.

Steven Bradwell, General Manager of United Utilities Networks, said: "Following the quality of their submission, we are pleased to have selected Carillion to partner with us in delivering our contract with Northern Gas Networks.
