Universal Skips Rewarded

A company that prides itself on being more aware of the need to protect and promote the environment is to be rewarded.

Milton Keynes firm, Universal Skips, has been selected as this year's winner of the prestigious Business Award (BA) for Recycling & Waste Management (2008/2009).

In choosing a winner in this year's Recycling & Waste Management Category, the judges were particularly impressed with the continual commitment on the part of Universal Skips to provide a diverse range of waste management services in meeting the needs of its clients in an ever-changing environment.

Commenting on receiving this accolade, Director Juliana Thomas said: "The BA Award has come as a complete surprise, we are delighted and honoured to be recognised in this way.

"Everyone has worked exceptional hard to provide the highest levels of customer service and it is very pleasing to see this effort rewarded.

"This achievement could not have been made without the excellent support of our suppliers and internal personnel and of course a big thank you to all of our customers."

The senior executive also highlighted the fact that the company not only offers this Waste Management Consultancy service but also provides a range of services for general waste management disposal including Skip Hire, Grab Truck Hire, Roll on Roll offs, Specialist Disposal Services, for commercial, trade and public customers.

On the award, she explained that at regular intervals throughout the year, the directors at Milton Keynes & Bedfordshire Today, select organisations that have best demonstrated a proven ability to go that 'extra mile' in not only meeting, but also exceeding the needs of their clients.

The Business Achievement Award Scheme was created in order to recognise those businesses and individuals who have made such an outstanding contribution to their particular field.

It covers some 15 categories including Manufacturing, Health & Safety, Recycling & Waste Management, Finance Business Development, Training & Education, etc,

The publication is always keen to bring attention to those who are providing a product or service that "stands out from the crowd" and deserves to be appreciated not only by readers, but also by a wider audience.

A spokesperson said: "Not every company can walk away with one of these accolades, that have become the hallmark of success, but those that do all emerge from the process a more successful business; with many having gone on to become acknowledged leaders in the marketplace."

Having been singled out to receive the BA Award serves as a distinguishing factor, that ranks Universal Skips amongst the best in its field, as well as acting as a seal of approval to prospective clients.
