Award-winning construction and fit-out contractor Gilbert-Ash has directed more than a quarter of a million pounds to charities and community groups over the past three years.
The announcement accompanies the release of a video and report underlining the company's focus on social value, environmental stewardship and diversity.
Since 2023, the business has contributed over £280,000 to charitable and community initiatives, supported more than 421 apprentices, and delivered upwards of 16,500 hours of staff training.
Built around the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Gilbert-Ash's ESG Strategy to 2030 is structured on four pillars — People, Planet, Place and Profit — to drive measurable impact.
With 2025 set as a key milestone, ESG lead Michael Heron invites audiences to view how the firm is advancing towards its objectives. The video highlights recent and ongoing projects, with ESG champions detailing progress achieved across each pillar.
Michael Heron said: "Our ESG strategy is something that everyone at Gilbert-Ash is focused on. As a responsible business we're passionate about managing our impact in the places we build and beyond.
"Since 2023, we have dedicated over 5,000 hours to community initiatives, and we are in the top 35% of companies assessed by EcoVadis.
"We are on course to meet our 2030 targets. The strategy's goal is to create projects which have positive outcomes for our society, the economy and the environment."
The company has also issued its 2025 ESG report, stating that priorities for the year ahead will emphasise sustainable procurement practices.
Reflecting on the report, Gilbert-Ash's Managing Director, Ray Hutchinson said: "Three years into our ESG strategy, our collaborative efforts within the sector have enabled us to achieve 85% of the ambitious targets we set ourselves for 2025.
"At Gilbert-Ash, we have a talented team of people who embrace the opportunity to drive the positive change that's needed within construction.
"I thank the team for continuing to raise the bar as we continue our ESG journey, learning and improving at every stage."
Gilbert-Ash says its approach to construction, fit-out and refurbishment is driven by hard work, inspired innovation and close collaboration.
